Quella annunciata oggi dalla vincitrice della scorsa edizione Olivia Rodrigo e’ la prima nomination per la band italiana, il cui nuovo album ‘RUSH!‘ uscira’ il 20 gennaio, pochi giorni prima della cerimonia dei Grammy in programma il 5 febbraio in prima serata.

Maneskin, un successo inarrestabile

L’annuncio arriva mentre Victoria, Damiano, Thomas e Ethan stanno vivendo un anno pieno di grandi successi su scala internazionale: a fine ottobre sono partite le date statunitensi del ‘Loud Kids Tour’ con uno spettacolo tutto esaurito al The Paramount Theatre di Seattle.

La polemica contro alcune nomination dei Grammy 2023

Due comici sono al centro di polemiche, Dave Chappelle e Louis CK, hanno ricevuto nomination ai Grammy 2023 a dispetto delle controversie di cui sono stati recentemente investiti. Chappelle, che ha appena fatto da padrone di casa all’ultima puntata di Saturday Night Live attirandosi accuse di antisemitismo dopo esser stato in passato contestato per battute anti-trans e anti-gay, e’ stato candidato per il suo special ‘Closer’. Louis CK, che ha vinto un Grammy l’anno scorso, aveva visto la sua carriera travolta da accuse di molestie sessuali, ma era poi tornato in pista riprendendo gli spettacoli alla faccia di quanti lo avevano messo all’indice per il suo comportamento. Entrambi sono stati candidati all’edizione 2023 dei premi nella categoria miglior album comico.

Beyoncé fa incetta di candidature

Sono state rese note le nomination della 65esima edizione dei Grammy Awards, i premi più importanti dell’industria musicale americana (e non solo) che verranno assegnati il 5 febbraio 2023. È pioggia di candidature per Beyoncé (nove), Kendrick Lamar (otto), Adele (sette), che quest’anno hanno pubblicato rispettivamente Renaissance, Mr. Morale and the Big Steppers e 30.

MTV EMAs: i candidati al Best Italian Act

Tutti e tre hanno ricevuto una nomination per l’album dell’anno al fianco di ABBA, Bad Bunny, Mary J. Blige, Brandi Carlile, Coldplay, Lizzo, Harry Styles. Spicca la mancanza in questa categoria di Motomami di Rosalía, senza dubbio uno dei dischi pop dell’anno, che è relegato alla categoria Best Latin Rock or Alternative Album (la spagnola appare anche in Best Music Film per la performance del disco su TikTok).

Maneskin,The Lonielest

Dopo gli MTV EMA 2022, Taylor Swift ha ricevuto quattro nomination, tra cui quella per il corto di All Too Well, mentre nella categoria degli album rock si va da Elvis Costello a Machine Gun Kelly, passando per Black Keys, Idles, Ozzy Osbourne e Spoon.
Non sembra esserci un favorito tra i nuovi artisti, dove se la vedranno Anitta, Omar Apollo, la coppia DOMi and JD Beck, Muni Long, Samara Joy, Latto, Tobe Nwigwe, Molly Tuttle, Wet Leg e i “nostri” Måneskin.
